New report on CNN that got published recently draws evidence to cell phone usage and possibility of brain tumor. Now the recent report is not something that is already out their in the public domain. This report just draws in more diverse voices stringing in more results. The study claims that a cell phone is emitting microwaves similar to those that get used to cook your food in a microwave. The food gets cooked or warmed in microwave by heating the water molecules in the food products. In a similar fashion the cell phone radiation basically cooks your brain. Now the study do acknowledge that the gestation period of this cause and effect to show up is about 34 years and we have only been using cell phones for about 15 years and in essence can't categorically prove that the cell phone has this kind of effect but again the scenario after 34 years does not inspire confidence either. I like to draw the analogy to Global warming, where the results are not in conclusively but gives pause to the thought that, it is better to be safe then sorry.

Now the good news is that the effect of radiation is inversely related to the distance at which it is held to the head. The radiation effects drops dramatically when using head phones or Bluetooth. Now, a cell phone booster system can keep the radiations low as well, how? The cell phones that work hard to maintain a certain signal strength works double time to achieve the desired results, that is also the same time the cell phone emits radiation due to the extra work, Kind of like you perspire more when you are working harder. When the cell phone has sufficient signal strength , they don't have to work as hard and hence less radiation.
The cell phone booster system basically assists a cell phone in doing a better job of connecting, sending, receiving voice and data signals. Now, their are some concerns with the booster system creating more cell phone radiation similar to the cell phone does. Now, going back to the fact that the effect of radiation drops dramatically with distance makes the radiation effect negligible.

1.Children and youth under 20 shouldn't use cell or wireless phones except in emergencies.
2.Keep cell phones turned off unless absolutely necessary. When they are on, don't carry them in your pocket or against your body. Keep the back of the phone, where the antenna is, facing away from your body.
3.Use a headset or wireless headphone with low power. This removes the phone from right beside your brain.
4.Use your phone only when/where the signal is good. In marginal areas, it steps up its power output, so you are exposed to more radiation.
5.Text rather than talk. It uses less power and exposes you less. If you need to talk, use your phone on speaker, and keep it further from your head. If you place it on your lap, use a barrier (like a book) between your phone and your body.
6.Pregnant women should keep cell and wireless phones away from their abdomen, and everyone should keep cell and wireless phones away from babies, children and youth.
Whenever possible, Dr. Davis advises people to use a land-line for phone communications. Land lines work without emitting radiation, and will continue to work when the power goes out.
Until the safety of cell phone use is established conclusively, it seems the best approach for users is to err on the side of caution. The tips outlined above are practical and easy to implement, while enabling users to continue to enjoy the benefits of wireless communication.

A lot of customers get confused with the terminology cell phone repeaters and cell phone amplifier. The main difference is that one is a complete system with a receiver antenna and donor antenna both receiving and broadcasting cell phone signal. The other only amplifies the cell phone signal and requires antennas to complete a full system . In other words if one is looking to boost cell phone signal for their home or vehicle , they must get a complete system which include a receiver antenna and donor antenna . One antenna must be mounted outside the home or vehicle and the other antenna must be mounted inside the home or car. Their are several options for picking the external (donor antenna) and internal (receiver antenna) . For the external donor antenna ,you can choose between a direction sensitive YAGI antenna or omni directional antenna. The Yagi antenna is most suite for situations were the signal strength is very poor and the yagi does the job of getting the most signal from a given location. The reason the Yagi is so effective in week signal situations is because of its ingenious design and signal attraction properties. The yagi frequency is determined by the number of elements in the design and that along with the spacing between each element determines the effectiveness of the antenna and the specific operation.
The omni directional antenna on the other hand is suited for situations where the signal is received from more then one tower. In which case the omni directional antenna will trap signal from multiple towers for the frequencies specified in its design. The omni directional antennas are not as sensitive as the Yagi antennas, however they are more useful in situations with multiple carriers with multiple tower locations.

LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are solid light bulbs which are extremely energy-efficient. When first developed, LEDs were limited to single-bulb use in applications such as instrument panels, electronics, pen lights and, more recently, strings of indoor and outdoor Christmas lights.
Manufacturers have expanded the application of LEDs by "clustering" the small bulbs. The first clustered bulbs were used for battery powered items such as flashlights and headlamps. Today, LED bulbs are made using as many as 180 bulbs per cluster, and encased in diffuser lenses which spread the light in wider beams. Now available with standard bases which fit common household light fixtures, LEDs are the next generation in home lighting.
The high cost of producing LEDs has been a roadblock to widespread use. However, researchers at Purdue University have recently developed a process for using inexpensive silicon wafers to replace the expensive sapphire-based technology. This promises to bring LEDs into competitive pricing with CFLs and incandescents. LEDs may soon become the standard for most lighting needs.
